Up for auction is my 1997 Carver Special Edition 260. It has a 5.7 LX Mercruiser with a Bravo 3 (dual counter rotating prop) outdrive. The boat is in good condition for it's age, and rides just like a Carver should! It is roomy inside and out. Has seating in the V-Berth and sleeping area in rear under cockpit. You can stay the weekend on it in the cove. It has a fresh water holding tank and waste water holding tank for those extended stays away from the dock. It has a single eye electric stove, refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom features Toilet, Sink and Shower with hot and cold pressure water system. It has shore power with 110v plugs in the cabin. Has table for V-Berth seating. Cabin lighting and water system run off of batteries if away from shore. The interior is in great shape!
Cockpit interior was replaced in 2015. All gauges seem to function properly except for the trim level. The trim works, but the needle is out of adjustment on the gauge. There is a CD Player, and brand new Alpine speakers throughout! Has bimini top, but is not factory. Boat also comes with the factory cover, but it has a tear along the back and several snaps are missing. New electric trim tabs were installed in May as well.Has NEW 5.7 Mercruiser with less than 10 hours on it. The block was machined, and new internals including Pistons, Rings, Cam, Lifters and Bearings. Heads were machined and new Valves, Springs and Rocker Arms were installed. The motor has had most exterior parts replaced such as the Starter, Alternator, Starter, Fuel Pump, Water Pump, Impellar Pump and Impellar Housing, Distributer, Plugs & Wires, Hoses. I had the motor redone in May of 2016, and put all of the new parts on since they were easily accessible with the motor out of the boat. All parts were replaced with factory OEM parts....not performance. I built it for reliability, and not for speed. Has new Boots and Bellows installed on the transom/outdrive.
The exterior of the boat has very few blemishes, and really cleans up well. It has new bottom paint as well!The boat has had alot of money put into it, and is in good condition. It is not in perfect condition, but find one that is. As with all boats, it will always need a few things. There is a small crack on the plexi-glass door to the cabin. The top side of the boat needs buffing. I had the bottom waxed and buffed while it was out of the water. I haven't plugged it into shore power, so I can't gaurantee that EVERYTHING works. The refrigerator powers on and the microwave seems to work as well. The pressure water system works, but I haven't tested the hot water system. I have a tandem axle aluminum trailer that I will sell with it for an agreed upon price, but It needs some attention. It will pull the boat from A to B, but I wouldn't haul it long distances without having it serviced and new bunk brackets installed. I'm willing to work with your shipper if you want to ship it, but shipping will be the buyer's responsibility. Boat has a FL title, and will be sold with the Title and Bill of Sale as well.
