For sale is a 1984 Chris Craft Catalina 381. The most unique feature of this boat is the amount of living space for the size of the boat(38 feet). It has two berths two heads and a large salon. The aft berth has a king size bed and head with tub and shower. The forward berth has a full size bed and a head with shower. The salon is large, with sofa that converts to a bed that sleeps two, full kitchen (refrig./freezer Cooktop, microwave, sink, bar height counter, Raritan ice maker).Cosmetically this boat has been totaly refurbished by professionals. The hull has been completely re-gel coated and no-foul bottom coating applied by Layton Custom Boat Works in Edenton NC. The interior was completely redone(upholstery, rugs, bright work, wood floors refinished, mini blinds) by Dwelling LLC. Has a new Bimini Top.Mechanically the boat is very good. The original V8 GMC Mercruiser gasoline engines have only 635 hrs on them. The Onan 6.5 Marine Generator with Cummins engine has only 975 hrs. The mechanical work done by Layton's includes; new set of props(includes a spare set as well),new anodes, new impeller kits in engines and generator, new fuel pumps on all three motors, new v belts, new plugs, wires, caps, rotors, senders(has thunderbolt electronic ignition), carburetors rebuilt by Perfect Carbeuration of Florida, new transmission cooler, new sump pump drain lines throughout, 4 new bilge blowers, one new oil pressure gauge, oil and fluids changed, drive shafts repacked, new hydraulic steering lines, new 76 gal. Black Water tank and level indicator. The boat also has a fume detection system. Automatic Halon fire suppression system, and engine synchronizes.  The bilge is extremely clean, looks almost new. Previous owners were very meticulous .All systems work, with a few exceptions, which I will describe below. The recent 3hr trip,at 22 knots, from Edenton NC to Manteo NC was flawless, engines ran and sounded like new.Two AC units do not work(for and aft berths) I had two 10k BTU room AC units installed to correct this issue. They are vented through a port and a window with no modification to the boat. The Salon AC  unit works as it should. One tach or sender is defective. There is no AC power to the horn? (Switch or wiring), no AC power to windless, breaker in bilge, just have not had time to run it down. This is a great cruiser, made by Chris Craft when they made very high quality, bullet proof fiberglass hulls. Take this boat anywhere, live on it or use it as a vacation home. Very inexpensive second home.Do not hesitate to call if you would like additional information. Don Herr 252 619 0226. The boat can be seen at Shallow Bag Bay Marina in Manteo NC.
