I have owned this boat for 12 months, purchased for my 18 year old who used it at least 3-4 times per week but now he's heading off to university so its not likely to be used anymore, my wife and I are sailors, I need not say more! When we purchased this boat a prerequisite was for it to be reliable, particularly being a single engine which was going to carry our only child... so we were quite fussy about this and it has been well maintained, starts easily and we have never had any issues. The general condition is good / average, its a 17 year old boat so has a few scrapes and scarring but again only cosmetic. There is a little sun fading on the paintwork. Legs, gearbox and engine totally overhauled in late 2015 so mechanically its very nice I was also quite nervous about fuel consumption but it has proved to be very good in this area, I believe the tanks are around 100 litres and I used to fill it up in the morning to the brim, my son would go out with his mates water-skiing and come back 3-4 hour later having no doubt not particularly worried about fuel consumption and I would fill it up in the evening again to the brim and it rarely used more than 20 - 30 litres, if I was to guess id say around 8-9 litres an hour whilst on the plain. Max speed with 2 on board around 29-30 Kts It comes with a chart plotter / fish finder Things that don't work or need work: Some of the gauges, RPM and Speed don't work on the dash. The CD player doesn't work - and never worked from when we purchased it. Trailer - we have it on Park & Ride at Brightlingsea where it is paid up until April 2017 The trailer wheel bearings appear to be ok, however there are 3 issues with the trailer. 1) A crack in one of the mudguards, cosmetic rather than a real problem. 2) The jockey wheel has seen better days, the rubber wheel has come of the hub and needs replacing 3) The winch works but is a little rusty and could do with being replaced at come point. I cannot see a real problem with it being towed somewhere but like all adverts I suggest you view and seek advice on trailer condition prior to purchase. Finally it comes with an assortment of ropes, fenders and 2 Ringo's. Buyer must collect or use our park and ride time as I do not have a tow bar. |
