Bought brand new in 2002 for our personal use on the fresh-water lagoon we lived at, this boat was extremely lightly used for 2 years (maybe 4 times a year). Since then, due to a move, it has been completely unused, stored out of water and direct sunlight with all components in a cool dry place. That means it is in superb, nearly-new condition (zero scratches or blemishes on hull, etc.). It comes complete with all original components in original storage bag:
sail, halyards, rudder, dagger board, manual, etc. The sail is blue and yellow (the first picture here is from the Catalina web site; all other pictures are of this actual boat). This exact model is no longer made by Catalina, who built this boat to rival the Laser Sailboat. Today the equivalent by Catalina would be the 12.5 Expo or 14.2 Expo.
NEW a boat like this is about $6,000. It is an extremely fun, FAST, well-designed boat, equally suitable for competitive racing and leisurely day sailing or learning. A truly enjoyable and active boat for 1 or more persons. Please note this boat does NOT come with a trailer.
