This boat is a fine example of an owner that really takes care of his boat. I babied this boat, it was my hobby to constantly work and maintain it. It is extremely clean and very well taken of. Starting with the engines, The port engine has 160 hours on the new engine and the starboard has 400 hours on a rebuild 2 years ago. It will show more on the engines computers as they are not reset when the motor is either rebuilt or the long block changed out. Manifolds and risers were replaced in July 2013. Oil is changed every 30 hours and recent tune ups were done. The full camper top was replaced in 2012 and looks new. All the lighting has been changed to LED lighting. There was additional accent LED lighting throughout the cabin. Blue LED lights were installed in the radar arch and also in the cowlings on the outside of the boat for a beautiful night time effect. I changed the dashboard trim out to carbon fiber and it looks fantastic. The cockpit cabinet doors, transom doors and beverage holder rack were replaced with starboard from the factory plastic which is a great update. The plastic cup holders were replaced with stainless steel. Inside the cabin I put in new wood flooring and replaced the carpet in the areas that the flooring didn't cover. The sound system was upgraded to consist of 8 speakers and a 10" sub woofer being powered by 2 x 1000 watt amps. A custom made speaker mount was made for the radar arch and includes front facing speakers for when you are underway. 5KW Kohler Generator. New carpeting in the cockpit area in 2016. Updated windless, head system and radar. This is a two owner boat and shows better than most new boats with all of the upgrades. The 2005 Monterey 302 is a great family cruiser that is powered by twin Volvo 5.7 GI-E engines with Volvo Duo Prop out drives. This set up will move the boat along effortlessly and make docking a breeze. The thought and engineering that Monterey puts into their boats is unparalleled in the industry. If you buy this boat locally, I give you my word that I will assist you after the sale, to learn the boat, teach you the boat, and even teach you to run and or dock the boat if you need assistance. I will also assist you in the winterization of the entire vessel from start to finish. If you are not local, I will still assist you with any questions that you may have, long after the boat is gone. I will give the buyer my cell number, my work number my email and always be there for the new buyer. Also this boat is great on gas. Cruises at a cool 30MPH and top speed is 48MPH yes you can do 48MPH and this boat hums. This is great family cruiser with a very comfortable aft bed room that sleeps two adults or children, with a very hi end mattress topper on the foam mattress. The v-berth also sleeps 2 adults or kids comfortably. TV's both in the aft and the bow as well as a mount in the cockpit to move one of the TV's so you can watch TV outside. Great for a good movie or sports or for the kids to play there video games. TV also has a built in DVD player. Please don't be shy, email me your questions. The biggest questions I get when I have sold previous boats are: 1) Why are you selling it?- I want to go much bigger. To a 37 or a 40 footer. My kids are moved out and I want to take longer trips. 2) Was it effected by Sandy; NO it was not in NY during Sandy, it was in Florida at the time. 3) Any damage to the hull. NO just a few scratches and one spot where my anchor hit and I did the repair. 4) How does it handle? At 10,500 lbs dry it handles like the best of them. Barely moves over wakes and you can have 5 people on one side of the boat and the boat stays even. 5) What is your reserve price? Lets just say it will surprise you, but I am not given this JEM away.
