Ski boat project. A really nice looking old boat, would come up great with a coat of paint or leave the rat rod look. I’m not sure of the make/model/year, previous owner said it had a y block v8 in it. A photo of the HID is attached. I replaced both of the stringers along the full length of the boat, Replaced the wood on the back of the front bench seat, re made the floor structure where the seats sit. Boat has a centre fin. All the wood that I replaced was painted with epoxy resin before being put in. I never got around to finishing it as I lost interest when we decided to sell the holiday house that was on a lake. I previously had a Holden red motor in it, it has no motor! Comes with everything seen in the pictures. All the engine mounts, pulleys, red motor boat sump, water pump, bilge pump, a red motor harmonic balancer which I had machined so that it bolts up super flush to the drive shaft. It was set up as a direct drive. I do have the original wooden steering wheel surround, as seen in one of the pictures. It was broken (spit in half and missing a section of wood, could be used as a template to make a new one) which is when I decided to weld up a chain for it. Not sure if the chain steering wheel would be legal, I was going to wrap a strip of canvas around it for registration. The marine gear setup I had was a bit different to most. When I brought it I ripped off all the alloy marine gear and chucked it. I then put on a standard 350 Holley and welded pipes into the exhaust manifold to dump the water to cool it all down. I had this setup in the boat and running pumping water from a bucket, and all the parts from it are there minus the 350 holley. I never actually had it on the water as there were a few more issues that I never finished. I never fitted the water pickups (Comes with new ones), The wood structure where the rudder attaches to still needs replacing, no aesthetic woodwork done in the back (ie. back seat not fitted), needs new steering cables, no fuel tanks , and probably lots of other little things.Boat specs:Width: 1.61mLength of hull 4.73mThe rudder gear overhangs a further 0.51m from the hull length.
The trailer is in great nick. Galvanised Iron tilt trailer with adjustable rollers. Holden axle with jellybean mags. The tires are old but have around 60% tread. The tilt positions can be seen in one of the pictures.Trailer specs:Width 1.92mLength of trailer from ball to back of chassis 5.65mIt will fit boats around 4.7m long in length or lessThe trailer has 4 rollers on each side (8 in total) spaced about 720mm apartStandard 50mm tow ball hitch. All it needs is the lights fixing, most of the plastic light covers are broken and it has an old style electrical plug. Needs one of the front rubber supports replaced and the cable winch is missing the crank handle, I always used a socket.
