Restricted single sculling boat ex Eton College.Classic restricted single designed to help people learn to scull. I rescued this from a barn about 15 years ago and it has been used very successfully to help adults and youngsters learn to scull.It is still useable but could do with some TLC such as the varnished wooden bits needing a new coat of varnish and a general clean up. The hull is a heavy fibreglass and the canvas is wooden as are the sax board. The seat still has the original sliding seat and the original riggers.Still useable as a training boat which Eton College used these boats for for many many years. A restricted single is wider than a normal single and has a very slight keel on it making it more stable to row and this easier to learn in.Originally called "Five" and I think all Eton College boats were called by a number.Needs two to lift ideally but one person can also lift it if needed. Needs some TLC but still useable. Collection from Datchet SL3 9BR
