Boston Whaler 17 Outrage II with Yamaha 150 hp VMAX TRP Outboard Both the boat and engine are 1998 model years Boat serial number: BW CX B2 4 0 L 798 Engine Serial number: 65N L601045. Both the boat and engine are in excellent condition and have been well looked after during our ownership (from May 2010) the boat has been winterised and serviced each year. The engine is the carburettor model and has been very reliable. The engine was serviced in 2014 by Yeoward boat yards in Salcombe and had the following carried out Carbs removed, stripped and cleaned New spark plugs Engine cooling system including thermostats checked and cleaned New Impeller New fuel filters (Yamaha 10 micron and also the on engine fuel filter) New fuel pumps In addition to this in 2014 a new Yamaha 704 top mount control box, new key switch and a new wiring loom from the key switch to the engine were installed. The fuse holders within the engine were also changed to Waterproof spade holders which are more reliable. The trim rams were replaced in July 2015 by Yeoward boatyards and the trim and tilt system serviced with new internal seals. During our ownership we have carried out / had carried out the following: New fuel lines run from the fuel tank to the engine New fuel vent installed New fuel sender installed New stainless steel gas strut on the rear hatch New Yamaha 10 micron fuel filter assembly (filter element just replaced) New remote oil tank holder The gear box was rebuilt in 2010 and a new clutch installed. At the same time a new reinforced shift shaft was installed New Teleflex xtreme throttle and shift cables installed in 2011 The propellers were finished by steel developments in 2011 New Igloo Marine cool box in April 2015 The hull was also waxed There are two minor issues with the boat/engine – the sender in the remote oil tank is also faulty and does not read the correct oil level. It does not however affect the oil being received by the engine. The seat cushions are tatty and would ideally be re-trimmed. The boat has an overall cover, an engine cover and a separate custom made console and leaning cover. Fenders, warps and anchor all included in the sale along with the Garmin Fishfinder Original Red Boston Whaler documents bag included in the sale along with documents. A De-Graaf Single axle roller trailer is also included within the sale. The trailer is in excellent condition and had a new axle assembly installed in 2014. At the time we also upgraded the braking system from a wire cable to a steel rod. A new brake damper was installed in 2012. This is a great boat and we will be sad to see it go but a young family forces sale.
