This is a purpose built boat designed for the Murray River. It has had several trips down the length of the Murray. It can be trailered anywhere by a medium sized sedan because traier and boat weigh only 1400 kgs. It would be ideal for exploring the Northern rivers. The boat was built at the Duck Flat Boat company in South Australia and is of the clinker construction fibreglassed inside and out making a very strong boat. Its a new generation boat being launched in 2008. It cruises at around 10 kph and only uses 1.3 litres per hour making it very economical. It sleeps two in the forward V berth, is equiped with a 40 litre fridge/freezer combo, stove, plenty of storage, sink and grey and fresh water tanks and a porta potti. It only draws 600 mm so it can travel in the lowest of rivers. Fully encloseable clear curtains in excellant condition and all openings have midge screens. The 10hp Yamaha low hours high thrust 4 stroke engine is supplied by two fuel tanks of 25 litres each with a spare 10 litres in the forward storage hold. There are two batteries to start the engine and run the boats electrics which are all LED. The trailer is equiped with near new truck 8 ply tyres and tows the boat without you knowing its behind. All safety and regulation equipment is included. Its designer well known naval achitect David Payne modelled it on Sydney Harbours first registered fishing vessel. A similar hull has crossed Bass Strait in recent years so the boat is also very sea worthy. The boat has attended several wooden boat festivals. This is a proven boat which is ideal for two people wishing to be adventurous and explore Australias water ways. Its a great alternative to a caravan. Current owners have lived on board for periods up to 7 weeks at a time and are only selling because they are moving into a houseboat on the river.
