VERY RARE ( barn find )1969 Donzi 18 Barrelback 2+3 302 Ford with Volvo penta outdrive in good running ordervery rare color - INCA GOLD so I am toldThis boat had been in storage for many years I recently purchased it from the grand son of second owner that had attempted to get it up and running but failedHe had already replacedCarb, Starter, Alternator, Complete rebuilt impellor pump, new electronic ignition system, outdrive bellow, fuel tank and new trailer axle with tires and wheelsbut was unable to get the boat running properlyWhen I found it I had to rebuild the carb and properly properly set the timing and the boat ran greatI have since replace all the gauges and properly rewire the boat so it would charge properly and the running lights would workI have instaiiled a new stereo system with speakersI replace the front barrel seats-waiting for to have new rear snap in cushions to be made (I have original rear seats for templets)the cockpit cover is also missing I am currently waiting to get is the canvas shop to have all made they are to busy currently and will be able to start until middle of OctoberThe Hull is in great shape the transom is rock solid there are 2 scratches on the bottom from the trailer 1 has been poorly repaired the other is minorCurrently the only problems are The outdrive reverse lock out springs were missing and the springs I found at the hardware store work but do not seem to be strong enough sometimes when you put in reverse the outdrive will lift out of the water I am having a hard time finding a good left hand rotation propeller the one that on the boat is beat up pretty goodThe engine hatch and battery box cover the gel coat is cracking bad but that is an easy fix I added a picture of itthere are misc nicks and scratches but not bad and the aluminum rub rail is all scratched upThis would be a great hull to do a complete restoration and repower on this boat has great potentionalThe trailer is very heavy duty but the axle installed does not have brakes and could used some taillight work but is in road worthy condition and I would drag it anywhereI am currently using the boat every week end and having a blastI was think of doing the total restoration but I want a harbor toy that I can leave floating in the slip and this boat is just to nice to use for thatI HAVE TITLE FOR BOTH TRAILER AND BOAT IN MY HAND any questions give me a call 847-731-1400 The $5000.00 buy it now price is what I feel the boat is worth but the reserve is set considerably lowerwho ever win this auction is getting a great piece of history
