This 1966 18 foot Century Sabre Hardtop has been on the Muskoka Lakes in Ontario Canada for its whole life. The last owner had the boat restored several years ago by one of the best restoration shops in Muskoka. It received a complete new bottom with keel, frames and transom as needed in the traditional method but with slightly larger frames, battens, and bottom planking to give many years of service. Some chrome was redone, engine rebuilt, upholstery redone, gauges overhauled, complete boat stripped and varnished. The boat has been boathouse kept since new and has not been in the water for several years until recently. The gull wing roof is very rare and the panels can be opened up or completely removed for fair weather cruising. The hull sides, bottom and transom are traditional wood construction and the deck is fiberglass. 1966 was the second to last year of wooden boats from Century. Check out the Century Boat Club website for models and production numbers. I think in 1966 there were only 41 Sabres built and very few were hardtops . The engine is a 390 Ford Interceptor and it runs great with lots of power. There is no trailer with this boat. It is currently located in southwestern Ontario Canada one mile from the Michigan border and one hour from Detroit MI.
