I built this boat over the winter of 2014. It's a (unique) modified rowing shell design which offers a relatively roomy and safe option for those long distance rowing adventures or daily workouts. The boat is 18'-6" in length, 46" beam, weighs ~150 lbs., has a capacity to carry between 880 - 1770 lbs (Moderate, or Calm seas.), cruising speed is 3-4 kts. and sprints to 5-6 kts.The hull and decks are a composite of 4mm Okoume marine grade plywood and fiberglass (light weight and strong), consisting of five compartments; forward most stowage compartment, 6'-6' lg cubby cabin (Roomy for one, cozy for two.), the cockpit consist of a pair of buoyancy boxes, and aft there is a large stowage compartment.This boat turns heads, everywhere it goes!
