Description
For Sale - Salcombe Flyer 530 Sport with 115 Mercury Optimax Fast Fisher / Ski Boat - In Very Good Condition(PLEASE NOTE THE PHOTO'S ARE 3 MONTHS OLD AND PRIOR TO THE UPGRADES DETAILED BELOW. I WILL GET MORE PHOTOS SHORTLY AS THE BOAT IS CURRENTLY OUT OF THE WATER FOR SERVICING)Here we have an auction for a fantastic Salcombe Flyer 530 Sport with 115 Mercury Optimax engine. The hull is a 2003 Salcombe Flyer 530 Sport. The hull is in very good condition for the age but obviously show's age related signs of wear and tear. The boat has excellent sea keeping abilities and is easy to drive, safe on the water and blistering fast, capable of 50 knots with the current engine. The hull is water tight and has no salt water ingress, and very little rain water finds its way through the hull. This boat is still rated in the top ten of fun fisher / sports boats to own. This setup would now cost your £28k new with the Optimax fitted. The boat has lots of storage in the front and rear, access hatch's into the hull, front and rear. Cushions are all good, no rips and tears. Was re-upholstered in 2012. The engine is a 2009 Mercury 115 Opitmax, which I had fitted to the boat before the summer. This engine was bought from Simpson Marine in Newhaven, and was original supplied and serviced by them to the previous owner. The engine has had both Mercury recent recall's undertaken and is an absolute powerhouse on this boat. The Optimax is still one of the best engines on the markets and are extremely reliable engines.I have also just replaced the battery with a brand new £275 marine battery from the US. Engine starts on first / second turn. The boat is currently moored at Newhaven Harbour. The mooring isn't included in the auction but I'm sure we can come to some agreement if you would like it left in the water. Boat was anti fouled pre-summer, but will need a jet wash it comes out of the water.Included in the sale:2003 Salcombe Flyer Hull
2009 Mercury 115 Optimax Outboard
2016 Mariner 6HP Outboard Aux Engine (3 months old)
2016 Raymarine Dragonfly Pro 4 - Fishfinder, Chartplotter, Sonar, Chirp (3 months old)
2016 Raymarine Compact Fixed VHF (3 Months Old)
New Auto Bilge Pump
New Battery / Kill Switch
New Steering Wheel
Mooring Ropes
Mooring Bouye
Aux Engine Mount
TrailerPoints to note: The anchor holder (front storage) needs a new base / floor as the original ply degraded. Navigation lights were removed and wholes filled. Engine Tilt gauge on console doesn't work. Engine doesn't tilt fully out of the water. Anodes are clear but the engine doesn't fully clear the water (doesn't effect anything but thought I'd point it out). The trailer isn't road worthy. It will get you in and out of the water 100's of times but I wouldn't advise towing it any distance. Please be advised that this is a 2003 boat and isn't perfect. I have been very honest in my descriptions to make sure buyers expectations are met. The bumper around the end of the hull has many marks and of scratches. The bumper at the front of the boat has been knocked and is out of line. All old screw holes have been filled and sanded but may require colour matching. Various scratches on hull. Minor hair line cracks in few cosmetic areas. These are all small niggles but I'd rather point them out now to avoid any mis-understandings.Any questions, please give me a shout.
