Hunter Europa 19 £1200 ono Lying Chatham Marina, Kent Reluctant sale of our super little Hunter Europa 19 ‘Remember Me’ which has only come about due to us emigrating. Built late 70s or early 80s. Great little boat, ideal for inexperienced sailors, single handers or those on a tight budget. Ready to sail. · 19 feet length overall · Theoretically 4 berth, although that would be a squeeze. Very comfortable for 2 or 3. · Fin keel drawing 3 foot (0.9m) · Almost as new 4hp 4 stroke Mariner outboard · All standing rigging replaced this Spring 2016 · Running rigging and rudder replaced 2015 · As new working and storm jibs · Further jib which is worn but usable · Main is quite old but usable, luff rope replaced February 2016 · Danforth anchor with brand new chain and line · Manual bilge pump · Nasa depth · Nasa log (although the head unit is currently not installed, but the paddle wheel and connections are all in place, and the head unit included in sale) · Fixed VHF with masthead antenna · Remote chartplotter · Masthead wind direction indicator · 2 x batteries · LED interior lighting · Charging points for phone/tablet etc · All wood resealed 2015 and marine ply cabin hatch replaced · Outboard pad replaced 2016 · Hookup for shore power within the marina · Various lines, warps and fenders included · Boathook She is a really seaworthy little ship with a 50% ballast ratio. In 1972 a chap named David Blagden sailed one of these across the Atlantic in a solo race! She is lying on pontoon berth at Chatham Maritime Marina on the Medway. Access to the interesting cruising ground of the Medway at all states of tide through lock. The berth can be included in sale if required, the marina has all amenities including fresh water, shore power, secure parking and a new shower/toilet/laundry block. Her existing mooring costs approx. £150/month. Lots of pubs/restaurants border the marina. We find we can be through the lock and out on the Medway raising the sails within 40 minutes of parking up in the marina car park, so she is very usable. I am sad to be selling her as have put in quite a lot of work over the winter improving her and was looking forward to using her as much as possible this summer, however an unexpected opportunity overseas now sees us unfortunately having to sell. We use her for day sails and also overnight trips, sometimes anchoring in the lonely creeks of the Medway. I’d really like to see her go to a good home where she gets lots of use!Cash on collection preferred. Call Jim on 07877 240020 for enquiries.
