This is an awesome opportunity to own a great sailing boat for some elbow grease and very little money. The boat was at anchor when another boat drifted into the bow of the Hunter. The drifting boat broke the stem fitting and the mast came down. There was no damage to the boat from the mast falling, but the bow plate was torn off of the deck. The boat needs a new stem fitting(Stainless bar stock) and some fiberglass repair to the deck. The deck has no soft spots and is in good condition. The interior of the cabin is in OK condition except for the teak and holly inserts that need to be replaced form rain water. The 30 HP Yanmar as external rust spots, but ran a couple of years ago. This was going to be my running around the Bahamas boat since it is so accommodating with two separate cabins fore and aft. The Wheel steering works flawlessly and the winches are self tailing. There is a main sail that is in good condition and a bad Genoa. The mast repair is $500.00. The estimate to professionally repair the deck is $1,000.00. Sails are easy to find for this boat and won't break the bank. We are moving and I can't take this cool boat with me so someone is going to get a great boat at a great price. this would make a fantastic liveaboard. The boat cost $400.00 to have moved on a hydraulic trailer to its current location. There are several marinas in the area that it can be moved to at the new owners expense.
