Our company Finger Lakes Boating Center out of Ithaca, NY has fully restored this 1974 fiberglass Cape Cod Shipbuilding Bull’s Eye. The boat was originally designed in 1914 by America’s pre-eminent boat designer, Nat Herreshoff. Cape Cod Shipbuilding bought the exclusive rights to the design in the 40s and has been building the same design ever since. It is a beautiful sailing vessel that has stood the test of time and has active classes throughout the world. Whether you are learning to sail or are an old salt this boat will give you years, or maybe generations, of joy on the water! The 12 ½’ waterline, 15’ overall length when combined with its internal flotation and 750 lbs external keel make it a wonderfully safe and forgiving boat to sail. It comes with a trailer that also has an extendable tongue so it can be launched from a ramp easily. This boat is better than new! FLBC is 10 years into the business of restoring boats and we believe this may be our best product yet. One of FLBC’s owners led the restoration. It was stripped, faired and painted (awl-grip) and the woodwork varnished with 12 coats. It took over 400 man-hours and there are a few custom details including a wood planked interior and a wood gunwale that will fill you with joy every time you see the boat. It has modern running rigging, new sails and a new cockpit cover. While they are still being built they aren’t built like this anymore. Imagine those timeless sails you can have either by yourself or with friends and family. The boat is versatile enough to be raced, soloed or taken out for a family adventure. With the boom tent you could even overnight in it. It only draws 2 ½’ so you can go just about anywhere! Sail-away price: $32,500.00More Information: Powdered Coated Mast and Boom. Fully awl-gripped hull and deck. Fully varnished custom mahogany tiller, coaming boards¸ seats, hull liner. Micron CSC bottom painted. New Cockpit Cover and running rigging.
