Description
Dawncraft 25ft cruiser for sale, name Mr Benn.I have owned Mr Benn since 2003, but now, lack of use, due to grandchildren having grown up, owner’s wife’s restricted mobility with replaced knees, etc, are reasons for sale.Mr Benn is a glass-fibre four berth cruiser built late 1970’s, and is a 25ft 7in long, 6ft 10in wide, (narrow beam) canal cruiser. The engine is a reliable electric-start auto-choke Yamaha 9.9hp outboard (sited inboard) with an anti-theft security lock. The rear canopy was replaced around four years ago and is in good watertight condition.Mr Benn is a spacious comfortable boat approx 5ft 10in headroom, plenty of seating inside and out, quiet and inexpensive to run, approx fuel use is around a litre of petrol an hour running at half throttle which gives approx four knots (maximum canal speed).Mr Benn comes ready to use, with kitchen utensils, cups, plates cutlery, ropes, lock winders, mooring stakes, two calor gas bottles (one full) included. Has a porta-potti flush type toilet, two ring cooker with grill and oven, sink with cold water electric pump. All curtains and cushions are in good condition. Has two batteries (one new, one good) and fitted with 12v lights and a light on the front.Mr Benn is an old but cared for cruiser, has not let us down, and given us many happy hours, sad to see her go.Bad bits: Some of the outside hardwood timber strakes have been replaced and others could do with same, though I can supply these. The horn doesn't work, but an air horn will be included in the sale.Currently moored at the Red Lion Cruising Club, Milton Keynes. Boat safety certificate is current and valid till 1/7/2017.Please come and have a look, feel free to ask any questions. Collection only, cannot deliver.Contact 07905 920035 Show original message
