Below is the description of the boat I bought a few weeks ago.Its a very nice boat and the only reason I'm selling it is that my wife has seen a new static caravan she wants so that's itall my toys have to go.I have never been on the water with her yet but it starts and runs like a dream.Any questions please email.Shakespear Clubman 14 foot Speedboat: I have had this boat for three years, and it has never let me down, great fun and fast will tow a skier or doughnut with ease, I started to tidy her up, had her insured and paid the registration and launching fee's for the year at Porthmadog (this will come with the boat and allow you to use any slip way in Gwynedd Free and also free car parking on Black Rock Sands) Comes with full lightweight cover. The Boat: Hull in good condition for the year a few dings but less than you would expect for the age of this boat. As you can see the seats are OK, with only one small split on the passenger seat, but they still Serviceable. I have replaced the carpets fully in the boat, some spare carpet will come with the boat (I was going to use this to do the dash but time is the problem). But Mainly a bit off extra TLC is required to bring it to its best. The floor is solid and has no soft spots and when I took the old carpet out was surprisingly in very good condition with no rot or holes at all. Hull will require a good clean as not able to clean on the caravan site as the site will not let you use hosepipes to clean boats. The Engine: Three cylinder Mariner 60hp Two Stroke Auto Lube (I have never liked the auto lube system and always pre mixed the two stroke but the pump for the auto lube is in good condition and will come with the engine). Full Power Tilt and Trim, This is not your usual rubbish that is on E Bay (which I have fallen foul of with previously purchases) this engine has been looked after and is in exceptional condition for a 1991 Engine Everything works as it should, no missing or broken pieces all the tilt locks levers are as original, The power tilt and lift works as it should it has Three cylinders with 2 Carbs and runs smooth and quite, engine will be shown running at time of collection, Local Mariner Sales estimate price they would want for the engine is around £1,400, I would recommend a service and carb clean, but gearbox has been serviced by me and a mechanic friend last year before winterising it and the following was replaced- new impeller, gearbox main seals (one seal had a slight leak which is now oil tight, Gearbox oil changed recently, no leaks at all from this engine. The case has age related marks and with a coat of paint would look like new, under the cover the engine is in exceptional condition, no bodged electrical connections or leaks, everything is as it was when it left the factory, no perished rubber insulation on the electrical cables. This I am told is a 1991 Engine but in really good condition for its age, Starts first time and has never let me down, had it in the water recently after the winter but only in the harbour as the weather was to rough to take her out, Started first time and ran like a watch gears were smooth selecting forward and reverse, pumping loads of water, no problems at all, also gearbox oil has just been changed. Only issue found is that the steering had become stiff over the winter the cable will need greasing. Comes with metal Fuel Tank. PT & T works fine controlled from a switch from the gear/throttle handle. The Trailer: This is a Snipe Galvanised Trailer, and is in good condition, one of the braces on the trailer could do with repainting but this is not rotten, this trailer makes launching and recovering the boat easy enough for one man to launch (done it many times), bearings have been recently refurbished and is fully road legal. Tyres are good. All the transom witches hats have been replaced as the old ones were showing signs of perishing. It has a Quicksilver Gear and throttle Control. Recently serviced Speedo does work comes with new pick up I have spent over £400 on this boat in the last few months + the £140 for the registration and launching permit, as I was intending to use it again this year. That's it really been as Honest as I can and not hidden anything, With a little TLC and a fair bit of elbow grease this will make a great little boat for the summer Just add water.
