For sale Shetland 535 package £1950 OVNO. As it says on the tin one of Shetlands most popular selling boats, this particular package  was bought new in 1984 from kelpies boats and remained in the same ownership until the owners bereavement  roughly five years ago.  The boat was then left to the son who never had the time to use her and the decision was made to sell her on.  I was fortunate to purchase it  roughly two years ago, the boat is in origanal gel coat and obviously has some age related marks but overall superb for her age the cockpit  interior has had  later alterations in the form of being lined out in washable carpet the cabin remains origanal as are the cushions which are in superb condition for there age. The engine is a Johnson 60 hp electric start manual lift from the same era and runs as good as the day she was bought, it has benefitted from a full service at the time of purchase to include impeller as well as a  short service at the beginning of this year. The engine throws her instantly on to the plane and pushes her up to roughly 28 knots on the rite tide, after a bit of prop playing it has amazed me how good it has been on fuel as well as super reliable. The trailer was a later addition after the first one eventually failed ,it is what we call over kill as it is rather wide  although within the legal limit. it is galvanised with the odd bit of rust but absolutely solid, it has only ever been used for launching in a private club and has never seen road use. It does however have suspension units and I have striped cleaned and greased the bearings as well as replaced the wheels and tyres ready to be towed. In my time it has only been in the water twice in each year as I kept it on the marina, it was nice and light to tow around the yard. Over all a great safe package for the family plenty of get up and go for pulling toys, or to get to fishing marks or simply a jolly up the river, also comes with a cobra VHF radio.
