Here is a vintage row boat dinghy made by Lightburn industries in Adelaide and is 3.6 metres long or 11 and a half feet in the old measurements. The registration tag on the boat shows that it was first registered in November 1968 and it has been very, very lightly used since and is in outstanding original condition. The hull of the boat is fibreglass and constructed in the clinker style and is finished in the original blue duco. Lightburn were a pioneering Australian company making fibreglass cars (the Zeta) and boats and had an excellent reputation for quality and strong fibreglass construction. The deck of the boat has a timber bow, seats, beautiful timber oars and a factory reinforced stern (should you choose to attach a small outboard) all freshly oiled. All the original bow brass fittings are still on the boat and an anchor is also included. The boat comes with a galvanised steel trailer in great condition which is easy to use. It is also fitted with fresh heavy duty tyres and also a hand winch so this little boat can easily be launched by one person. This boat would look great and add colour in a bayside boat shed or down at the river or at the lake as it is a very useable classic craft. Inspection is invited and the boat is located 8 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD.
