This Henry Rushton "Florida" Model rowboat was thoroughly researched, and I believe is the ONLY one to have been built in modern times with the designers handwritten design dimensions (from his long-lost book appropriately named 'Book of Knowledge", available from the Adirondack Museum)Henry Rushton was a pioneer of lightweight canoe building in the late 19th century. His boats were famously used by writer George Washington Sears to adventure all around the states.At the Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival, it won both First Place for Traditional Construction, as well as the Joe Liener Award, given to those projects which specially show adherence to traditional boatbuilding skills.Materials are:Atlantic White Cedar Planking, clinch nailed with ~3000 nailsRed Elm RibsHonduran Mahogany Sheerstrake/DeckOak Keel/StemI am a professional boatbuilder, currently living in Cambridge, MD. This is a cherished project, which I have stored for 2 years because I didn't want to let it go. It was on the water a handful of times. This boat is available for pickup, and I will bring it within 200 miles of Cambridge, Maryland FREE OF CHARGE.
