1954 24' Hodgdon Launch "Norman" powered with a Chrysler slant 6 gas engine Trailer not included   L.O.A.: 24' Beam: 7" Draft: 2'-10" Survey Available  Almost too much to mention......Built in Boothbay Harbor, this classic runabout had a significant bottom restoration done in 2012 by Edgecomb BoatWorks Wooden Boat Restorers including a new sternpost, shaft log, garboard planks and shaft & rudder stuffing boxes......see pictures. This boat was named after the original boat builder, Norman Hodgdon of Boothbay, Maine. The boat has New Steering Cables and Tracks, Gas Gage installed (used dip stick before that), New Carburetor, Exhaust/Intake Manifold, New Timing Cover and Two New Batteries. New Throttle System installed last year for better handling. Powered by a Chrysler Slant Six 225 CI 145 hp., goes 15 knots at wide open throttle. Includes GPS, cushions, dark blue BIMINI, and bumpers. Needs Paint and some cosmetics but bones are sound. At least $25k in restoration work completed in the last few years. Teak deck was part of the restoration. Boat comes with the original mahogany light and flag poles, fore and aft. There were three of these boats left from the original 25 built by Norman Hodgdon. One burnt and destroyed last year so only two left including this one that we know of. Storage Paid in Full through Fall of 2016.....I should be able to arrange transport within reasonable distance. The boat can be viewed at Edgecomb Boatworks where it was restored and has been stored in the winter each year at Edgecomb, Maine outside of Boothbay where it was originally built. All Questions regarding the restoration can be answered at Edgecomb. You can contact me directly as well. Shipping, Pick up and final payment options can be discussed.
