It is with regret that health/age issues make it necessary to part with our sailboat, Halcyon Days. The Potter 19 with its relatively flat bottom is easy to launch, load, trailer, and store. It will fit through a standard-height garage door. It can be manuvered through shallow water, requiring less than a foot of water to float with its daggerboard up, and is a very stable boat. This is a very nice boat which we have owned for several years. It is clean and in very good condition for its age, and has always been stored under cover. The boat does not need any repairs or attention and is ready-to-sail. The hull is quite dry. After eight weeks of mooring each season, there is less than a quart of water in the bilge, likely coming from water we've tracked in, or from rain water seepage. The exterior finish shows some fading and discoloring (may not be visible on pictures). Hull is free from damage, other than a few very minor scratches/scrapes. Galvanized trailer is in excellent condition, and includes a unique, custom mast-raising apparatus. Outboard motor is dependable and starts on first or second pull; we have had it professionally serviced at the end of every season. Sails are in average-to-good condition, and should last for another four or five years. Rigging and hardware are in good condition. Exterior wood is in good condition. All lights and other electrics have been recently inspected and are in good working order. Daggerboard and hoist mechanism are in good condition and work smoothly. The boat includes: galvanized, road-ready trailer, 5 HP Nissan outboard (always professionally serviced/winterized), Harken roller furling, marine HF radio, depth sounder, bilge pump, interior cushions, butane stove, mooring sail cover and companionway cover, anchor with line, battery with solar charger, fire extinguisher, plus many assorted smaller items. There are no cockpit cushions. The boat is located on St. Joseph Island, about an hour drive east of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (and the U.S. border crossing). The boat still carries current Michigan registration (we purchased the boat in Escanaba, MI), but is legal in Ontario, with all appropriate documentation and taxes paid.We would enjoy showing you our boat, ad we encourage you to see the boat prior to bidding, and invite you to bring along a sailboat professional if you wish. We had the boat professionally inspected and approved when we bought it in 2011, and it should still be in similar order.Feel free to contact me with any questions. You can email or call me at 705-246-1474. Please leave a message if I don't answer. Sale price is in U.S. dollars. Deposit of $500 by Paypal required, balance in cash.Thank you for looking!
