2000 Cobia 244 CCFull Throttle Marine Sales is selling this 2000 Cobia 244 CC for a client of ours. The boat has not been used much in the last couple of years so it could use some TLC. This would be a perfect project boat as the selling price is way under NADA. With some time, elbow grease, and a little bit of money this boat could be worth much more. When we did the sea trial the engine ran perfectly. If you are familiar with the 225 Yamaha OX66 then you likely know that it is a great 2 stroke motor. We reached a comfortable cruising speed between 25 and 30 mph and top speed of 40 mph. There is bottom paint on the boat. It will need a fresh coat if it is going to be sitting in the water.When sea trailing the boat there was a rattling in the lower until as we shifted out of neutral into forward. This could indicate that it is in need of a service or perhaps the lower unit is about to go. It did not fail us on sea trial but I have no way of knowing the actual condition of the lower unit.The boat does include a 2013 Continental tandem axle aluminum trailer that is in good condition.2 batteries with switchLowrance GPSCompassThere is some sponginess in the floor. My name is Garrison Martin, I'm originally from Sandusky, Ohio where I grew up on Lake Erie. I've been on boats since I was about 3 years old so I'm very passionate about water and boats. I went to college in Columbus Ohio, then moved to Florida to pursue my golf career. A major injury ended that career so I fell back on my father's teachings and love for boating. I'm very close to my family, which is where I believe the best morals begin.I started off in the boating industry detailing, a great familiarizing experience for every kind of boat, from the motors to layouts and hulls. I have had the opportunity of setting foot on just about every boat on the market. They said they really didn't know how he lost it; perhaps a car accident.You can catch Tre roaming around the lot watching over the boats and bringing smiles to customers' faces.
