I bought this boat last year, its fairly rare in that it was powered by an Olds 455 and a Berkeley Jet Drive. There is no engine, but has a Berkeley 12JC-A jet drive that is in great shape. Also missing the interior. Floor and stringers are rotten and will need to be replaced, i have started on the demo. The transom seems to be very solid with no soft spots that i have found. Outside has a few nicks and scuffs, the electrical system is in great shape, new ignition switch with two keys. Boat is currently registered in TX as a non-titled boat, and is an early 72 without an HIN. Tags are expired, have all the paperwork to get it registered and overall this would be a great boat to restore and has alot of potential, with the Olds 455 and jet drive this should have no problems doing 45-55 on the water and pull anything you wanted. I'm going to be moving out of state soon and just wont have the time to put into it and don't want to drag it across the county so im putting it up for sale as a best offer type of deal. A good olds 455 isn't hard to find, or it wouldn't be hard at all to install a modern carbed LS 5.3 and probably run alittle faster with better fuel mileage than the old big block. Trailer does not have any current registration, i have a title application with a serial number of the trailer, but cant find serial number on the actual trailer itself. Has Surge brakes on one axle and they do work, tires are old and dry rotted from sitting but it does pull nice and straight down the road. Lights will need to be rewired as well. I do have some of the original interior panels that were in decent shape to use to make new panels and some of the aluminum trim. eBay wouldn't let me upload the last pic showing the current condition of the inside so here is a link to all the pics i have of the boat. AGAIN: THERE IS NO ENGINE! I took these pics a few months ago when i started working on tearing out the floors and then i found out i am being relocated. Any questions feel free to ask, like i said i feel this has alot of potential, i had thoughts myself of doing a late model 5.3 that you can find for less than 500 buck, and with some minor upgrades can make the same kind of power the original 455 did for about half the weight and be alot better on fuel. BUYER IS TO SETUP TRANSPORTATION ON THERE OWN, PAYMENT WILL BE MADE VIA PAYPAL WITHIN 24HR OF WINNING BID AND WILLING TO GIVE THE BUYER UP TO 30 DAYS MAX TO PICK UP THE BOAT. Contact me if you have any questions, and if your within a 5-6 hr drive of the Houston area, im willing to meet half way to help with delivery if you cover my gas. |
