If you are looking for a beautiful modern practical canal boat for day trips with the family or to put furniture in and stay on, this is the boat for you! This is not the usual old boat needing work, this is in fact a new and modern boat made with love, care, attention and a very good quality thick strong hull. All steel 32ft Narrowboat built 1999 and released into Hawne Basin July 30th 19993mm steel on cabin roof and sides, 6mm hull sides and 8mm baseplate and uxterplateCruiser sternGood front deck and strong roof so passengers can enjoy sitting/sunbathing anywhere on nice daysMulti fuel fire for wood or coalBeautiful wood panelling insidePlenty of windows for lots of natural light and good views when you are insideBig storage under the front deck for the water tank (not plumbed in at the mo but there if you want to), spare rope, hosepipes, mooring pins, tools, etcAbsolutely brilliant Lister SR2 vintage air cooled diesel engine with hydraulic gearbox to propshaft and good strong propellor. Lister engines are brilliant as they are so easy to maintain, simple to use and will go on forever and ever and ever and ever....Engine was re-built by a previous owner and it shows, the engine starts first time every time, can run all day and never misses a beatOne large starter battery and one absolutely huge leisure battery on their own isolator switches12v cables are in the boat ready to be hooked up to an inverter or 12v television or whatever you like240v hookup is present too so you can attach sockets for a full 240v electrical system, if you wishAll doors are made from solid steel and lock really well with good solid locksBuilt with a water system and gas fitted, this has been carefully removed so the boat can be used as a day boat, also it shouldn't need a boat safety certificate as there are no permanent gas fittingsI used to keep a sofa bed and portable loo inside so I could sleep the night on board if wanted. I know a lot of you will be thinking "I want a loo and shower" but my experience is that a lot of people are put off by the small size of boat bathrooms and just go to the regular shower and toilet facilities that British Waterways have already provided along the canal bank. Even so, fitting a shower and loo wouldn't be too difficult given the water tank is already fittedBottom cleaned and blacked recentlyProp tube barely ever needs greasing and almost doesn't leak at all, barely a drop of water passes throughAll decks are properly drained off the boat without leaking into the hull, I've left the boat for several months without there being any amount of water leaked into the hull, no rainwater, nothingBilge pump on manual switch, I've only used this once and that was only because I left the engine hatch open in the rain! Two deck seats on the back that are used to store balance weights, lock gate keys and windlasses, etcPlenty of tie down points to moor the boat with including a centre mooring point on the roof, ideal for keeping the boat secure in lock gatesAt 32 feet long this is the perfect size to get everyone and everything in, but is just small enough to turn around in the canal. There is nothing worse than being stuck on a bigger boat going an hour in the wrong direction because you can't turn the boat aroundPaperwork and history:Beautiful brass plaque from when the boat was built and launchedLast boat safety certificate, expired 25th March '16Hull survey dated 24/06/2012. Interestingly the boat is noted to have had new Anodes, rudder cup and top bearing, and that the hull thickness is 8mm uxterplate, 6mm port and starboard sides and 8mm base plate. In 13 years there had been 0.2mm corrosion on the base and uxterplate, and 1mm on the hull sides at the waterline which is very very good, this goes to show the quality of the steel that was used to build the boat, not to mention the 3mm roof and cabin sidesFull set of keys to all locks and ignitionBoat is owned and registered to me in my name and canal & river licence is paid by meThere is a breakdown cover for the boat paid up until the end of July '16 but it's never been used as the boat has never had a problemOriginally called "Joshua Ryan" when built, later re-named "Oscar" and now it's current name on record is "Rainbow", although it's free and easy to change the name of a boat to whatever you want, and I'm sure the new owner will do just thatThis boat was built to last and the new owner will be delighted with getting many years or even decades of waterways pleasure out of it. Please look at the video and photos below so you can really see what you're getting.I can arrange to deliver by lorry or by the canal network for a reasonable fee, please message your postcode or marina for a priceI can also hold the boat for a while if needed as long as a suitable deposit is leftMy number is 07453783883 if you want to ask any questionsAutomatic buyer requirements are set up to prevent unwanted buyers, if you find you can't bid but genuinely want to buy please message mePlease see photos and video below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rICqBpk-6bA
