The woodsealer is equivalent to around 5 coats of varnish and means varnish will last a long time. A new small folding table has been added. There is a table stored under the cockpit which fits opposite the cooker. There is a storage compartment within the bench seat which lifts out so you can sit sideways at the table. The table can also be set up in the cockpit. The boat was fitted with a woodburner which has been removed. However the coachroof fitting is still there (fitted with a stainless steel plate) and a stove could easily be fitted again, I have the information of how to do this together with photos of the original installation. Keelbolts have been replaced Bruce anchor with 15 fathoms of chain Very substantial new anchor bollard A new galvanised centre plate and bolt have been fitted Hull has been epoxied Portaloo New epoxied raised cockpit floor. Yacht legs project started (sleeves have been installed through the gunwhales, it just need aluminium legs and rigging added) The boat comes with kit to enable one person to raise and lower the mast using the trailer winch Standing and running rigging very good Unmarked Crusader Mainsail with two reefing points – Very good Unmarked Crusader Genoa – Very Good Spinnaker – as new Mariner 5hp 2 stroke engine, little used and in very good condition. 2 Strokes are much lighter than 4 strokes, simpler, more reliable, in my view quieter, and also free from oil leakage problems when laid on their sides, unlike most 4 strokes. It is secure in the boat as there is a fairing unit which plugs in after the outboard is fitted and which cannot be removed when the boat is in the waterI have never had any problem with the engine. It comes with a remote 10 litre fuel tank The hull is very sound, to my knowledge no Pandora has ever had osmosis I have spent a good deal of money and an awful lot of time re-fitting Spook and there is virtually nowhere on it that is tatty or rough (like weathered varnish) Unfortunately health problems have forced me to give her up so with many regrets I have decided to sell. She is a fine sailing boat, fast and stiff with a well balanced helm. She sails well with the plate up or down and with it up has a draft of 2ft. The keel is wide and flat and she will sit well on sand with legs fitted. The design benefits hugely from twin wall construction, the cabin has a separate interior moulding with a small air space. This is far superior to any fabric lining and is completely free of condensation in winter. The Trailer is not included in the sale but may be available by separate negotiation It is a Nicholson 1500 and was bought brand new a couple of years ago. It is fitted with the pressurised hub bearings and a winch and has done exactly 800 miles, only 500 with a boat on it. There is a two stage winch and she is relatively easy to launch and retrieve. I can deliver for the cost of the petrol at 15 mpg out and 25mpg back, or by negotiation. I am a genuine private seller, as a long term sailor I have much experience and have owned many boats over the years. I am a retired architect and have always enjoyed the process of boat restoration and re fitting Spook has been great fun. I had dreams of trailering her up to Scotland where I used to keep a boat on a mooring but owing to recent health problems I can see that is not going to happen. There is a good survey dated May 3013There is a file full of historyFor extra photos see my Picasaweb site at picasaweb.google.com/108402807785836856816/Spook?authkey=Gv1sRgCIq0u6y94pWiBQThe boat is on its trailer at a sailing club and can be launched if required You can rely on my descriptions, also please see my 100% Ebay feedback.
