Built in 1960 by Herd & McKenzie (Buckie) this is an opportunity to own a part of Scottish Fishing History. A substantial amount of work has been carried out to keep the original lines of the vessel. Very few of these boats still exist, particularly with the original engine, controls, and wheelhouse. This is a very sympathetic conversion to a charter vessel. The boat is listed on the National Historic Ships Register. Boat has a 60mile limit, recently completed mid-term survey (inc. out of water survey). Slipped April 2016, new anodes fitted and, cleaned and painted. It was mainly used for fishing and live aboard charters, and would lend it self well to this sort of work again. Vessel has a ketch rig, and sails are included in the sale of the vessel. Boat was primarily used for live aboard sea angling charters and day trips. Boat would convert well to either a wildlife or dive boat, and having the sails really sets the boat off. For more photos see: http://www.findafishingboat.com/herd-mckenzie/ad-71576 We are selling the boat as we are running our family farm and do not have the time to run the boat as well. This is good opportunity for someone to set a business up. This age of boat, although being looked after by us, will require maintenance to keep it running. Open to sensible offers, please contact for further information, photos and video. Boat is located in Shetland, so if you are interested we can send as much information as possible. However, if you are really interested we recommend that you come and have a look and we can go for run and a sail with the boat.
