ALL ORIGINAL Antique Boat!!! I am selling this boat for the in-laws because he is too old and can't get around anymore. He bought this boat from his best friend a few years after he bought it new in 1973. This boat has been garage kept since it was bought new by both owners. 28 years ago, he parked this boat in his garage and it never moved once since. He was a very meticulous person, so he ran the fuel out of the engine and washed the boat after every use. All I had to do was air up the tires, grease the axle bearings in the trailer, change the oil in the motor, change the water impeller motor (just in case it was dry rotting), change the starter solenoid, and it started up like new. Runs perfect and EVERYTHING works in the boat. The front middle windshield needs to be replaced, but only if you would want too because it is fine at the moment. The floor is rock solid. The canvas top is like new condition and nothing is dry rotted, including the seats. This is a rare "barn find" and Lamar boats went out of business over 30 years ago. I doubt you will find another Lamar boat in this good condition with as much original parts. Trailer is also in great condition with normal rust from use prior to being stored. A really COOL little boat. All paperwork is up to date and I have all original paperwork that came with the boat.***NOTE*** Boat still has the original cable and pulley for steering, which is NOT Coast Guard approved. Sold as an ANTIQUE ONLY!!! If you take this boat out on the water, you must either change it out to a modern steering system or contact the Coast Guard for proper use. Boat is for sale locally as well and seller can pull this listing at any time should the reserve not be met.
