1978 Aquasport 176 Family Fisherman.  This boat has been in my family since new in 1978.  With a little love and attention, this boat has a few more years of life left in it.  The boat has proven to be durable, with mixed use in the ocean and large lakes.Original equipment, boat has been well used for many hours.  Not sure of exact hours on the boat.  The condition of the boat is what you would expect for a boat of this age (about 38 years old)Cuddy cabin design, inside of cabin is sparse used for storage onlyEZ Loader trailer - tires with lots of tread (about 5 years old), working lights (trailer rewired recently.  The trailer is galvanized and is in great shape for its age1979 Mercury 150 HP, 2 stroke engine, on its first rebuild done about 10 years agoRebuilt starter motorNew gas lines from tank to engineParts of ignition system and charging system replaced in the last two yearsWired for two batteries but only has one battery in the boat at the momentComes with outriggers, Lowrance depth/fish finder (newer design purchased in 2012 or so)Will come with large cooler as shown in the picturesIssues that I know of that need attention:Hook on the bow that is used to attach boat to trailer is loose.  The wood board between the fiberglass exterior and interior has started to rot and needs to be replaced.  It currently is stable enough to pull the boat onto the trailer and haul the boat, but that would be the next thing I would have repaired.Engine runs and works.  At times the starter has trouble mating with the flywheel to start the engine.  When this occurs, the engine needs to be manually turned before the starter will engage the flywheel.  I am not sure what the cause of this is.  The boat was in the water and run on 6/20/2016.The transom fiberglass has cracked and was repaired about 10 years ago.  That repair has broken free.  There is no sign of the transom itself being damaged, but a cosmetic matter with the fiberglassThe teak on one of the storage doors the stern of the boat has broken causing the storage door to come off if not latched down properly. The wood supporting the bow underside of the cuddy cabin has started to rot away.  The bow fiberglass has not broken because of this.  It does require caution if standing on the bow.puThe boat and trailer has been titled and registered in Illinois.  I have the boat title free of liens to transfer to the buyer.   The trailer does not have a title.  The boat and trailer are to be sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no warranty of any kind express or implied.  This boat and trailer is about 38 years old.  Ask questions and come see the boat in person if you like.  Or I can add any additional information or pictures not included in the listing. The boat is currently stored in the Chicago metropolitan area.  Buyer assumes the responsibility for pickup or delivery of the boat.  I will not arrange for any transportation. The boat is currently listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the listing prior to its end.  This boat is priced to sell to the highest bidder.Buyer to pay $100 deposit after winning the bid within 24 hours and pay the remainder of the bid price by cash or money order at or prior to taking delivery of the boat.  I will not accept paypal for the entirety of the sale unless buyer is willing to pay for fees charged by paypal.  Buyer has 7 days to take delivery of the boat and make payment in full.  If not completed within that timeframe, the transaction will be cancelled and I will relist the boat.  Please do not bid of you are unwilling to accept these terms.
