TARTAN 37 is a great racer-cruiser designed by Sparkman and Stephens. I wandered around the Eastern Caribbean on Babylon for 7 years, then came back to replenish funds and never got to the re-fit. I have now moved ashore and want to see her passed on to someone who will appreciate her.Babylon is loaded with equipment which made it easy to singlehand and comfortable to live aboard, much of which needs maintenance. She will motor and sail as she is, but wants a fairly major re-fit before jumping off to the islands.
Sails:
Main is in fair condition with recent batten pocket reinforcement
105 Jib in very good condition - had it made and used it little.
135 Genoa needs work or replacement - taking off the UV cover which was falling apart due to rotten stiching the sailcloth tore where the UV cover attached.
Spinnaker and sock in new condition. I didn't use
Pro Furl 42 Roller Furling in good condition
Main has (rotten) stack pack saved as template, and different temporary coverEngine is a Westerbeke 4-108 that runs strong
Recent exhaust injection elbow
Recent starter rebuildGround Tackle:

Sheets are in fair conditionSpectra 200 C watermaker needs membrane and pressure vessel end sealsTechnautic engine driven holding plate refrigeration needs compressor serviced or replaced. The original ice box insulation has deteriorated and stays cold a shorter time now then when I bought her in 2000.Raytheon ST5000 below decks autopilot needs service - linear drive clutch works but ram does not move.Head has lectrosan and holding tank-mascerator and deck pump outNew Isotherm water heater electric and heat exchangerEdson wheel steering with compassThere is a SSB HF auto tuner, insulated backstay antenna, brass foil and dynaplate ground - no transceiver.Needs new cushionsThere are manuals for all systems and lots of spares.I will be glad to go over systems with new owner.the cabin sole has a couple of spots of deteriorationThis is a fairly clean wonderful performing stable sea kindly boat in need of care. She is NOT READY to go cruising without taking care of many maintenance issues. I have 4 gallons of Pettit Trinidad 75(red) to go with her.I am done with sailing and ready to move on to a family collaboration in North Central California. I've transferred all my tools and toys to a Motor Home that will take me out there. I am anxious to sell Babylon as I am ready to go AND the dock I've been renting for the last four years is behind a house that is sold and closing in a week. It is possible for someone to buy her and anchor out short term where she has been berthed, but I would love to have her sold before this looming deadline although I can anchor out and bring her on a dock to show. I am open to any reasonable cash offers as the deadline approaches. Please feel free to call me with questions. Larry305.319.0200 call as early as you want but please do not call after 8 PM.
