Firstly - I bought this boat as a project just over a year or so ago. The first 8 pictures are the ones when I bought it. Since then it has sat in my car port so it is much dirtier than then. The final 4 pictures are today - note slight damage to rear corner on final shot. Previous watchers I have removed some of the original pics 24th July so that I could put some up to date ones on. When I bought it the advertisement included the following: " FOR SALE ON BEHALF OF FRIEND 1997 seadoo speedster twin jet engines being sold for repair, been stored for a few years .put a battery on and engine turns over but not run. all cables etc move but will need oiling etc comes on nice snipe trailer very tidy for year."All appears to be there except the battery. It is actually 1996 (thank you Andy4k6 for the information to help me establish this) as it has 96 at the end of the VIN number, double underside intakes and a dess key.So I know very little about its real history. I bought it because it looked smart and I fancied a fast speedboat to get to and from the pub up river from here and it seemed an easy project. When I got it I was working away so filled the plug holes with penetrating oil and left it in the car port. We then started some building work and only recently have I been able to get to it. Having now sat for a year I put some jump leads to it but could not get it to turn over. All the electronic bleep things did the right things. Got the manual etc and freed up a tight bearing on one of the drives but generally working on this is beyond me so best that it goes to someone who can get it going properly and enjoy it. Has some paddles, anchor and life vests with it, owners handbook, manual on CD and a cover to keep the worst of the weather off but this is not a Seadoo one.Just to be clear as there have been a lot of questions about this - When I bought it in March 2015 the boat had not been used for a couple of years but the engines did turn over. They now do not turn over, stater motor just clicks, so in my opinion the engine or the drive is 'stiff' but can probably be freed up with some encouragement and penetrating oil in the right place. I have no experuience of these engines by the way so my opinion here is based on car engines, two and four stroke with similar problems over the yearsGot to be cash on collection for this and remember it needs work, you are not going to be on the water on the way home. Possibly could deliver locally as long as full payment has been made.Even in this condition this will be a bargain for someone.
