speed boat barn find retro classic Shakespeare Mercury 65 horsepower engine
Estimated price for orientation: 403 $
Category: Power Boats
Class:
Description Manufacturer: Shakespeare Engine Manufacturer: Mercury Length (Feet): 14 Engine Model: 650 (65 horsepower) Trailer: Included
Super smashin' lovely great. Relive those Bullseye years with this classic speedboat by Shakespeare boat builders with a stonking great 65 horse Mercury engine. In her day she was a little flyer, but 8 years in a barn has left the glory a little faded. Red gelcoat (with metal flake) deck with remarkably symmetrical fade marks on either side where the tarp cover sagged to expose the gelcoat - looks like it was meant to be like that! Interior as you can see is a bit tatty. Driver's seat has collapsed - probably due to the massive acceleration and the size of the driver;-) Passengers seat still in goodish shape - probably 'cause with nothing much to hold onto, they spent more time in the air than on the cushion.Engine was running when parked up, but the battery leads are quite perished now so I didn't fancy starting a fire by trying it, but with 8 year old petrol remnants inside, it will certainly need a good strip down, so I have to describe it as a non-runner.Sorry if I've left it a bit late in the season - there was a blackbird nesting under the cover by the airhorns and I didn't want to disturb her!Trailer included. At the moment the hitch is bent and one tyre blew out when I tried to inflate it, but if she makes more than £150 I'll sort it out. Otherwise, do not assume you can turn up and tow it away - you'll need another trailer to put it all on. We have lifting equipment to do this.Buyer collects. (Canal is close by, but as the engine's not running, you'll need to bring oars!)£50 Paypal deposit at the end of the auction, remainder in cash on collection please. There is no "buy it now" price, I intend to let the auction run. If you ask me for one, I will assume you are illiterate, have just looked at the pretty pictures, and are not capable of understanding what "auction" means. As such you will be ignored! Thanks for looking, and happy bidding.
