Lightning sailboat #13832 -- Mosquito Hawk (built by Nickels Boat Works/Holly, Mi). She is in great racing shape. Originally purchased for youth racing she has been continually upgraded and improved. I purchased her from a well known and respected sailor and named Ryan O'Grady. He writes for major sailing magazines and professionally races 60 footers. He upgraded the mast, boom (both modern, stronger and lighter), stainless steel keel, custom spinnaker pole composite rudder (lighter) and boom vang (lighter and has more leverage for easier pulling - see pic) to ensure that it can compete with newer boats. He also added kickouts to get water out of when under way (see pic). The hull and deck are in great condition. The hull is very stiff. Nickels is consider by most the best of the Lightning manufactures. When it comes to used sailboats you get what you pay for.Lots of extras. It comes with a galvanized trailer that has been rewired and newer tires, 4 sets of sails with 4 spinnakers and one extra jib (the 5th jib), one boat cover when the mast is down and one cover when the mast is up. It has been in dry storage as the pictures show. I also have a spare mast, boom and keel. Some of the pictures show the older extras. It also comes with a ton of spare hardware parts. I am selling primarily because I don't use it enough. My kids are still to young to take out on it and to help. I don't have to sell if I don't get an offer I want for it.If you don't know anything about these boats - they are the largest single sailboat design community in the world. Tons or racing fleets, support, and manufacturers so you will always be able to maintain and enjoy this racer. Learn more at lightning class .org.Let me know if you have any questions or would like more pictures. Thanks,
Marshall
