New Photos added 20 July 2016A rare Maxi 100PS. SHE HAS TO GO SO SOMEONE WILL GET A BARGAIN. Ragtime of Rhu is a 34 ft Swedish sloop built in 1982. The hull is in good condition as is the 25 hp Volvo Penta engine (which is housed inside the table in the saloon - see photo). The oak/teak interior has just been sanded and varnished and is looking good. The saloon is spacious enough for entertaining. The cabin which seats up to 8 people is perfect for sailing in Scotland especially single-handed. A new canvas and sunroof has just been fitted to the cockpit which is ideal for bad weather. She has been set up with twin Genoas (one is a self-tacker) and the deck has the self-tacking mechanism installed with all lines going into the cockpit. She has 3 cabins, 1 toilet and the interior is oak. She can sleep up to 7. The price has been reduced from £20,950 to £17950 or ONO as she has to be moved from this boatyard soon.
You will find it hard to source a Maxi 100Ps as there are so few about. There are a few Maxi 95s but they don't have the sugar-scoop rear step, the bowsprit or the cabin. (great for foul weather).She is out of the water at Barcaldine Marine near Oban, Scotland should you wish to view her. Please contact me to arrange as I am approx 1 to 2 hours drive away dependent upon traffic. The only money need spent on her is to replace a few of the perspex windows. circa £40 each and a touch of paint here and there. Other than a service, she will be good to go into the water.
