When Gar Wood folded some of the people, patterns and hull dimensions found new life, though short, with Truscott Boat Company in St Joseph, Michigan. I've been collecting Gar Wood boats, hardware and ephemera for sometime, and this boat came my way by friend. It's a complete 1948 16' Truscott Truscotter runabout with original hardware, running gear, steering wheel, gauges and a running Chrysler Ace. Not shown are interior panels and seating which I also have. It's one I probably won't get to. They are fast nimble little ships patterned off the Garwood Ensigns. It's an intact pattern boat and would be a sweet rig. I have 3 1941 Gars that need attention first and so it's for sale. A rare Michigan built boat with ties to the master.
