For Sale: Ohlson Marine Pilot. One of 16 Heavy Duty Hulls formaly built for the Swedish Navy as general harbour tugs and never commisioned. This hull no: 238-4 has been fitted out as a 4 berth cruiser with centre wheelhouse and an inboard diesel engine, although some had a petrol volvo fitted. The hull and superstructure is all hand layed glass fibre with aluminium strenthening to the pram bow and the position where the samson post would have been. The dry weight of the craft is 1600kg, approx 25% heavier than a modern jellymould. Two berths forward with porta potty built under and two berths in aft cabin all 0ver 6 feet long.The vessel has completed approx 80 engine hours since having a complete "Stainless Steel" nut and bolt rebuild in 2015 and has just had its first full service.The gearbox was replaced with a brand new Borg Warner Velvet drive, along with a new stainless steel propshaft, ceramic shaft seals, cutlass bearing and a bronze propeller fitted with a rope cutter.The boat was antifouled one year ago with good quality Hempel Marine paint.The deck equipment is all stainless steel, grab handles all round, even the anchor is stainless steel.List of Equipment: Navigation: seastrel compass, Garmin GPS, Garmin Depth sounder. Cobra DSC VHF radio. Full engine instruments, offshore flare pack, horseshoe bouy, navigation lights and manual and automatic bilge pumps, shore power with rcd safety, 2 x dry powder fire extinquishers and fire blanket.
On the stern there is a swim platform and a boarding ladder plus a position for an outboard motor not exceding 30 kg in weight. Standard radio/cd/usb, player with remote control and quality waterproof speakers, helmsmans folding seat and bench seat to the rear.All the upholstery has been replaced. and the external cover is watertight.Small sink with electrically pumped cold water from a 30 ltr bag tank on the port side, 2 x 70 amp batteries underfloor for starting and leisure with permanent trickle charger coupled up to the shore power system.Trailer is not included with the sale of the vessel.Payment by BACS or cleared cheque prefered.
