I bought this boat last year with the view of restoring it, but i never seem to have the time to work on it.The outside of the boat seems ok and water tight, but the inside requires work as can be seen in the photo`s. I have made a start and everything i have taken off i have kept. I have not had the motor running but it turns over ok. i took the plugs out, gave each cylinder a squirt of light oil and turned it over then put the plugs back in.The trailer is made by Fox marine trailers but requires some repair. I towed the boat about 25 mile home when i bought it so it is strong enough to tow but has some holes in the chassis which will require welding. The tyres where badly cracked and flat, i pumped them up to get me home but since changed them for some used better tyres. I have the missing mudguard and the original canvas press stud cover but it is only good enough for a pattern to make a new one from. My intention was to buy a modern trailer for it as they are lighter and plenty on ebay for sale, but the original would repair. I have the chrome water skiing towing bracket for the boat but again will need work at the bottom (out of sight) as i had to cut it to get the fuel tank out, but the chrome is in really good condition.I rang Fletcher for some info on the boat giving them the serial number (see picture) they told me it is a 1974 model and originally sold with a 75hp motor, so someone has fitted the bigger 85hp motor at some point.It is a real shame and would make a great project for someone who has the time for it.
