STREETER for the Dept. of Public Health to be environmental vessel for the Columbia River then became a fisheries vessel in Puget Sound operated by the Montlake Marine Lab of the National Marine Fisheries till 2011 when she was retired. Purchased at a GSA auction in 2013, ORCA has was hauled and had several planks changed as well as full recaulking below the waterline. Also in 2013 received a brandnew Onan 11.5kW genset.ORCA's specs are>47'x14'x5' 1 1/2" fir on 2x3" oak frames on 10" centers, stout silicon bronze fastened construction w/ plywood house and fir decks
>6-71N Detroit Diesel with heavy duty 2.6:1 5091 Twin Disc gear throwing a 32" three blade wheel
>makes 7.5kts at an easy 1350rpm (4gph)
>650gal fuel, 100gal water, 50gal holding

>all hydraulic steeringat this time the ORCA requires that the hull be repainted, new cabin skin, finish recovering after deck plus the interior of the cabin is still to be finished (fully functional now but overhead, trimwork and finishes remains for completion). The vessel is USCG documented with fisheries, coastwise trade, registry and pleasure endorsementsORCA is a salty Monk design built of high quality materials and is in very good sound condition well worthy of receiving the love and attention to turn her into a showpiece either for work or pleasure. Fully able to be used as a fishing or workboat, ORCA would also make an excellent platform for a conversion to an expedition vessel for BC and Alaska cruising. Something I wanted to do when I first acquired her but which didn't happen before another vessel came my way this spring so now hopefully you can fulfill the dream?many more photos available upon requestI am anxious to make a sale soon so bring your serious offer and I will seriously consider it. Boat is in Seattle to make showings easy for interested parties
