I've decided it's time to sell my Mevagissey Tosher. She was built in the 70's by Martin Heard. She was built to be used as a Oyster dredger on the river Fal where you can only fish for oysters under sail. She still has her boards on the side of her hull and her fishing numbers present - FY27.The inboard engine (Petter 6hp) and gearbox was removed at the end of last season and is sat on my drive under a tarp, this is included in the sale. I had a new set of sails made in 2014 and are made from a lovely traditional material that really look the business. The original sails also come with the boat. She has a dipping lug sail on the main and a standing lug on the mizzen. She has been repainted in top quality marine paint at the end of last season and is looking fantastic. There is no rot in any of the wood on the boat and most of it has been replaced over the last few seasons. The trailer had 2 new suspension units fitted two years ago and has only done about 50 miles in that time so they are like new.
