60' cruiser stern narrowboat for sale, at present located on the Peak Forest Canal, Derbyshire.Traditional layout. Cruiser stern with engine under back deck. Double doors lead out to the cratch area and the gas locker at the bow.This much loved boat was commissioned by its present owner in 1990 and built by TT Marine. Originally 45 feet in length it was professionally extended, 3 years later, to a length of 60 feet by the firm of Chappell & Wright at Whaley Bridge.  Original construction of 8/6/4 steel with thicker base plate where extended.The spacious interior, with well over 6ft of standing head-room throughout the boat (approx 6'7" at centre), was designed to give maximum comfort for a couple. There is a fixed double in the back cabin and the dining area offers an occasional single bunk.The bathroom has toilet, washbasin and shower. From new until present the toilet in use has been a portable chemical toilet but the boat when built was fitted with a holding tank for a flush/pumpout toilet if desired at a future date.The living accommodation is open plan with galley, dining and saloon areas. The saloon has a 3-piece cottage suite.It has gas central heating throughout, a woodburning stove in the saloon, Electrolux 12v electric fridge and full slimline Valor gas cooker with 4 burner hob.240v shoreline and 4x 240v sockets in cabin.It has a 30hp Lister Petter 3 cylinder diesel engine.The boat was dry-docked and bottom-blacked with bitumen in April this year (2016)The boat has a Current BSS Certificate (expires Jan 2019) and CRT licence.The boat has only ever been used by the owner and family, and for short cruises and holidays.
