Hello, the time has sadly come for me to sell my beautiful Ribtec 580 as ive bought another boat.Ive been involved with RIB's for over 25 years and previously worked in the marine industry. I spent a long time finding this RIB which is one of the best built RIB's ever made.This Ribtec 580 was built with no expense spared when RIB's were still built properly in the UK and not down to cost.Built in Southampton to endure the rough waters of the Solent it has a re-enforced transom which is integrated with the A-Frame and a Deep V Hull.All the materials used were the best - high marine grade stainless steel (no blemishes or rust), Hypalon Tubes (joined longitudinally - stronger but more expensive) and layered fiberglass not injection moulded.Twin marine batteries, under floor stainless steel fuel tank, bilge with automatic bilge pump.The Mariner 135 V6 is bulletproof, in my opinion far better than a modern 4 stroke - (lighter, more powerful, more reliable, less maintenance and these engines will go on forever) (oil and fuel is self mixing so no hassles) has always been flushed with fresh water after every use and runs perfectly £40 to £50 for a day out in fuel and will do 49 knots (56 mph) making this a very fast RIB.The RIB has always been stored out of the water when not in use by both me and the previous owners so the hull has never been antifouled and polishes up nicely.The deck and all the structure of the RIB is solid as a rock with no rotten wood in either the deck or transom (something cheaply made modern RIB's suffer from) in fact this RIB has a completely air tight under deck space!! I have never seen this before in another RIB !! This means when pulling the RIB out after a day of use no water at all drains out of the under deck compartment when taking out the bung and in fact when launching into cold water on a hot day you actually hear a rush of air being sucked into the void when releasing the bung!! This shows how well the boat has been built and what great condition its in!!There are a few age related marks on the RIB as to be expected, this is not a brand new boat but its in very good condition and has been looked after.The tubes are in incredible condition (better than a lot of 1 year old RIBs ive seen!) and will last forever if continued to be looked after.Im going to leave the 1 year old top of the range Garmin 75 Echomap on board with the very rare upgraded transducer!! This is worth over £800 and is the best Chartplotter and Echo sounder money can buy for the size. It comes with full UK charts, Echo sounder and side scan sonar!!! This will not only show you whats underneath the boat but will even pick up the rungs on a ladder in the water next to it!!There is seating for 6 on 3 double jockeys (the best seats to have on a RIB if you want to save your back) with 2 large dry under seat lockers.2 x ski hooks on the back - ive wakeboarded and ski'd off the back.The RIB comes with a trailer - no issues with this either and can be manoeuvred easily by 1 person.Viewing is highly recommended so you can appreciate how nice this boat is and if we agree a deal once a deposit is given I can take you out for a sea trial if desired.Based in Southampton.Call Olly 07545 331 377 (if I don't answer leave a message)
