Good day and thanks for viewing this listing, My wife and I have been sailing La Papillon for 4 - 5 years and have Put lots of time and effort into getting her just the way we like her. Our plans have changed so it's time for someone else to enjoy all the upgrades and updates we have done. She is In the water at a floating dock in Middle River Md. Zip code 21220. The slip is paid till next April and could transfer to buyer if they meet the requirements of the marina owner. Now for all the good info about La Papillon,*1985 Irwin 34, This is the last year this model was Manufactured. LOA is 34' 7"*Beam = 11' 3"* She has a fresh water cooled Yanmar 3gm30f . My paper work from when we purchased her states 27 hp but I think it's actually 26hp it does not have an engine hour meter so I don't know the hours however the motor mounts were replaced a year or so before we bought her by the premier yanmar dealer in Annapolis and I have always changed the oil in the fall and mid summer. Fuel filter was changed each year. Settles in for good fuel economy at around 5.2 Knots. If you need to get there in a hurry she will easily d do 5.8 - 6 knots. *NEW Custom Sails from Mack sails in Florida two seasons ago. * -Full batten Main with 2 reef point. Mainsail falls into a nice stack pack type sail cover, Just drop the sail then zip the pack closed, quick and easy.
- 150 % Genoa - New Harken roller furler and headstay at time new sails were installed. $$ The new suite of sails and furler with headstay cost us just under $7000.00 New sails are one of the most expensive updates a sailboat will have. We planned to never have to buy another set for this boat ! All other rigging is in good condition. * The cabin top standard winch was replaced with a NEW Lemar self tailer just last season ! *Main Halyard new in 2014 *Genoa Halyard new 2014 *Spinnaker Halyard new 2014 *Main sheet is in Very good condition, No need for replacement. * The jib sheets are ok and will last plenty more years. * CUSTOM RIGID Boom vang by Garhauer Marine - Cost was around $550.00 and is 3 years old. *ALL the crappy factory port lights have been replaced with Vetus opening ports, before we bought the boat. *Lowrance HDS7 chart plotter with depth sounder. ( Can be linked to auto pilot and radar and set up on a network. ) *RayMarine wheel pilot auto helm. Has always worked great. *Factory push button breakers have been replaced with Blue Seas toggle switches and the wiring behind the Nav Panel upgraded including Fuse blocks. * Three Deep cycle interstate Batteries that were new a few years ago make up the Main House bank, * A single Battery is the second bank used for the starting battery. *New Water heater in fall of 2015 *Head Compartment - ALL plumbing has been replaced, Holding tank, All lines are Vetus high quality. Y-valve for overboard discharge (With Gusher lever pump.) or deck pump out. New Manual head unit just last fall. * Ground Tackle - Manson Supreme Anchor hooked to 144' of chain. * Lewmar electric Windlass WE LIKE TO SLEEP WELL WHEN AT ANCHOR. the Manson has never dragged for us. * Boat was hauled and received bottom job last summer. 2 coats of red and then 2 coats of dark Blue on top. We leave the boat in for two - three years at a time. With the Red under the dark blue I can tell when we are getting close to needing a haul out for bottom paint. Should be good till 2018. * TWO NEW Thru hulls, The head compartment Sink drain was replaced a few years ago, and the Engine intake was replaced at last haul out. BOTH are Flanged Bronze Thru hauls with 1/4" thick Fibre Glass backing plates. The way these were installed is such that even if the Mushroom Thru haul part was sheared off they would not leak ! * Bimini is in Great condition. * We didn't get a chance to replace the helm cover yet. If you see it covered in a picture, that is the old bimini we use to cover it just to keep the sun off while we are not at boat. * As you can see in the pictures, The Saloon cushions have been completely redone. New FOAM and Covers with a nice material that brightens up the interior nicely. The Quarter berth / Nav seat cushion has not been done yet so it is the original material and the fabric is torn a lot , we lay a towel over it however, it would be nice if it matched the main saloon cushions. The V-Berth cushions are also origanal and are still in great condition. * The table drops down to make a huge sleeping area. We have Short legs to switch with the long regular table legs that make this really stable. * Flat Panel TV that's mounted on a Swing arm. I'm sure there are some other things I am forgetting about that we have done to the boat since owning it. THE BOAT MAY BE ABLE TO STAY AT THE MARINA IT IS AT NOW, the FLOATING DOCK slip fee's are paid through April 2017. I will try to accommodate anyone wanting to inspect the boat, Depending on my work schedule. While we would like the boat to be sold and will entertain a Reasonable offer, we ARE still using it. We will probably be sailing to St. Micheal's Md. the first full week of June. This is not a distress sale so please dont waste yours or my time with low ball offers. If we were willing to except a lot less than the asking price we would just list it with a broker. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a boat that is ready to go now to get a good price by saving us a few thousand in commission fee's
