Just redone 1975 mirrocraft 14' Jon boat. I found the boat at a garage sale behind an old barn. I brought it home, stripped it, re sealed it, re painted it. added a deck.  Here was my process. I stripped it, sanded it. Painted 10 coats of marine grade oil based paint, then I sealed every joint and seam, then I added 10 more coats of paint. I added the deck over the front seat. I added a 2 aluminum L angles to support the front, and a support brace in the middle. Its very soild. I used marine grade 3/4" Plywood.. Carpeted it in outdoor carpet. I planned on keeping it, so I did everything correctly and proboly over did it. But I wanted to make sure it was perfect. The trailer has new marine lights, New tires with apx. 20 miles on them. Winch. new rollers, new carpeted 2x4's that tilt. the engine is a 1959 Johnson 5 1/2 horse outboard. Just had it serviced at the outdoorsman in St. Marys Ohio. Stored in my heated basement in the off season. Matching 5 gallon 1959 tank. The tank has a new gasket, new hoses, fitting and primer pump. The 2 seats are foldable brown camo. The front bow mount seat post is adjustable in height. I do not want to sell this, but my current situation is forcing me to. Like I said I built this boat to be my personal fisher. This is a great boat. It comes with a brand new waterproof trailerable boat cover. Clean title on the boat and trailer.
