******************* Motivated Seller --- LOW RESERVE  ******************************************* Boat Location is in Sandusky, OH at a Marina on Lake Erie Near Cedar Point Inside Heated Storage ************************* **** Reason For Selling: We live in Florida 99% of year now and cost to ship/move was prohibitive ****
**** Keeping her in storage becomes just a cost now; our enjoyment of this vessel is completed and will now transfer to a happy new Owner *****

Background: We purchased this beautiful yacht in the winter of 2008 in Toledo, OH where her station for many years was the Toledo Yacht Club by a Doctor and his family.
The kids had all but grown up and they hadn't used this vessel for two seasons. We flew up to take a look at every other boat except this one, simply because this boat was NOT listed for sale online. Before we left the marina, we asked the salesman if what we had seen were all the boats for sale... the marina manager happened to be passing by & asked if we had seen the Ocean yacht in the back storage.Since we were there, we went ahead and looked at her...and as we walked closer and closer, after looking at hundreds of different boats online and a dozen in person, we IMMEDIATELY knew this WAS the one! After rigging lights and ladders to climb aboard her, and with flashlights in hand, we toured through what was to become our new floating condo :)Since 2008, for every year of use we became the boat to go to :) -- the Size and Space of this luxurious yacht rivaled $500,000+ yachts at the marina. Of course new back in the 80's this yacht went for 500-600k with the less powerful 471 TI DD engines. From the flybridge, to the back deck, then down into the salon, this vessel truly became our home away from home while working as contractors in Ohio during the summer, then packing up and living in Orlando, FL in the winter months. At the beginning of the season, my partner and I would drive up and spend the first week cleaning her hull, buffing and waxing the fiberglass and gel coat, as well as sand, treat and coat the beautiful teak wood that we enjoyed working on - we are carpenters and engineers.

The two freezers and refrigerator, the built-in storage cabinets everywhere, the fishing equipment storage, the washer and dryer (which always blew folks away) machines, the full stove and oven, microwave/convection combo oven and on-demand super-heated water unit at the sink -- it all just made the comforts of home right there. The built-in vacuum system is super easy to use - pull out the hoses plug it in and it automatically turns on for great suction cleaning from head to toe - this one feature was state of the art back in the 80's and still today is just a great convenience. We've had her powerful (low hours) twin turbo DD engines over 25 knots to get us from the marina to the islands there on Lake Erie...from having a wedding on there anchored out of port at sunrise, to birthday celebrations, to kids coming up to visit - the shear joy from the memories will live on. Alas, we have admitted that we just can't use her up there any longer now living in Florida permanently...she is owned outright, we are flexible on price - we do have a broker to help us get more advertising coverage, but if we find a buyer on eBay or elsewhere, there is no broker fee (savings to you)We would need approximately 2 weeks for us to get ahold of maintenance, preparations etc for a sea trial. She's been in inside heated storage for a few seasons so we'll need to do all the prep work to get her worthy of a sea trial. There are a couple known items we know we need to take care of (It's a boat :)) but all and all, she shows well and is just a gorgeous gorgeous yacht -- anyone that knows the Ocean Yacht brand knows it screams luxury. She's NOT been in salt water even though her hull is designed for the ocean - hence the name which was a big plus to us when we bought her.
Also the fact that the engines had low hours (now a little over 1800) AND were upgrades, which really come in handy when there's weather up ahead returning to harbor, is a great sense of comfort. Take a look, contact me directly, glad to have a conversation - but please know we are selling her now and do not want to pay another year of storage - so first to contract will win this boat.God bless!

SynopsisThe Ocean 42 Sunliner is basically an Ocean 42 Super Sport (1980–83) with a full-width aft cabin replacing the Super Sport’s cockpit. She rides on a low-deadrise, modified-V hull—an efficient bottom designed for speed and quick acceleration. The two-stateroom interior of the 42 Sunliner is arranged with the galley and dinette down and a walkaround queen bed in the master stateroom. Both heads are fitted with separate stall showers, and large windows provide plenty of natural lighting in the salon. As it was with all Ocean models of her era, the interior was colorfully decorated and finished with plenty of varnished teak woodwork. Standard equipment included a generator, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, vacuum system, instant hot water, microwave oven, and much more. This boat has proven to be one of Ocean’s most popular designs and is a very sought after yacht because of her unique design and durability. This is a VERY CLEAN boat with LOW HOURS and lots of DESIRABLE OPTIONS that represents a TREMENDOUS VALUE OVER BUYING NEW. The 42 Aft is a great-looking, smooth-riding boat that is finished with a high level of attention to detail. This Ocean Yacht is giving you a lot of boat for the money. The 14’ 4” beam makes for an unbelievably spacious interior for a boat this size. Check out the “Full Specs” section for a detailed description of what this boat has to offer. This is a well-maintained, always fresh water boat that is very well equipped. A great opportunity for a significant savings over buying new. Specifications:
