Shetland 570 – GOLDEN DAYS IDEAL BOAT FOR INLAND OR SEA, WILL CRUISE ALONG THE RIVER AT THE LOWER SPEEDS AND GO LIKE STINK AT SEA!!! Very economical to run, very quiet engine with superb performance.VIDEO AVAILABLE OF BOAT IN ACTION AND ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AND INFORMATION AVAILABLE IF REQUIRED Fully refurbished inside and out We purchased this boat in September 2010 as a project, the boat was stripped back to bare fiberglass in February 2011, and over the last few years we have fitted her out with professional carpenter built lockers to our specification with push lock knobs, new carpet. New internal cockpit and external cockpit cushions. New decals, fenders, windscreen etc. She has a 3 season old Marine Mariner 100HP engine, with less than 150 hours just serviced beginning of the season in 2014 by Bill Higham Marine and has only done about 15 hours max since then, currently on hard standing at home near Welshpool Powys Internally the upholstery is firm foam with infill table and cushions to make up the bed, co-ordinated gold curtains to all cabin windows. The lockers have wooden stained shaped backs to provide backrests / headboards, the sink is a deep stainless steel sink with manually pumped water from the locker below. The new locker design provides a ‘heads’ locker so that the portaloo can be used whilst the boat is moving or moored up providing privacy. To the side of the heads locker is a small storage area / hanging rail and above 12volt and mains lighting, along with brass hooks. The port side locker under the sink has ample storage space with lock off push button magnetic catches and a small side storage pocket for maps etc. There are two drinks holders to the front of each locker. Small bow locker, originally for the porta loo, we used it for shoes! New modern style Houdini hatch with tinted glass. There is mains power to the cabin and a mount for a small TV or DVD player (not included) and small shelf area behind. Two shaped lockers to the port and starboard of the boat under the cushions and a table socket in the floor. All the main cabin woodwork has been stained and varnished in a mid cherry wood colour The cockpit has padded off white vinyl sides with contrasting dark blue trim, there are two lockers to the port side plus a third smaller locker currently two of these are set up for fuel tanks. Wine bottle holder and drinks holder fitted to the port side bulkhead. Starboard side behind the helms seat there is a fold up seat which when down provides useful storage space underneath, next is the battery locker. The cockpit has twin outdoor power sockets with snap over covers. The helm seat is in contrasting blue and white vinyl fully adjustable and can be turned to face to the stern when required to be used as additional seating. Hand operated window wipers to both sides of the front screen Fully fused board, quality helms wheel, drinks holder, horn button and 12 volt cigar socket and boat hook bracket. Mains power socket connection port side bulkhead and mains power lead. There is a second table for the cockpit for use when the main table is being used to make up the bed in the cabin, this is very useful if you wish to leave the bed made up rather than take it apart each morning, the table leg socket is close to the transom so the table can also be left up for use whilst the boat is being used and/or cruising. There are a full set of fenders which have been spliced and fitted on karabiners providing additional protection to the lower hull areas. Engine cover to include cowling cover and full sized overall engine cover, which we use for transportation and wintering. Road trailer cover, not new but does the job and was repaired by the canopy people so fully serviceable. The boat was purchased by us as a project from a gentleman who had owned it for a short while intending to do her up, he had been told that he was only the third owner, making us the fourth owners, I do still have the contact details of the person we bought the boat from if anyone wished to do more research Since owning the boat she has had a multitude of work and parts, all have been detailed in the log book with our trips and engine time, all invoices etc., will be copied and detailed for the new owner . 2011- Indespension braked trailer with flush system, this trailer was specifically chosen for its higher weight specification which is above the weight requirement of a Shetland 570 - £2300For those who would be looking to tow the boat the specification of the trailer is significantly above that required for the Shetland 570 and this set up has been towed no problem with a range of vehicles including a Mercedes Saloon E320 which also was able to launch and recover the boat quite happily. 2011 August - tailor made American style (zips and Velcro not turn buttons), canopy with full head room height of over 6 foot and stainless steel frame, the canopy is fully versatile with roll up sides, back and front, which are also fully removable turning it into a bimini, it also has a matching transom cover and fully fitted zipped in modesty curtains, plus matching velcro black out blind for cabin houdini hatch – total cost £1500 2012 - 100 HP Mariner Engine and hydraulic steering system - £7500 2012 – Advansea C56 GPS chartplotter & fishfinder - £799 2012 –Advansea FX 400 Radio - £200 2011 – new nav lights all round 2011 – new fender stripAny trial welcome by arrangement, the boat is currently on its trailer.
