We Will be on this boat From the 29th May for a week, so if you are interested, and are seriously thinking of a boat in Spain, call me to arrange a meet, or try a preliminary offer now with a final price after viewing and survey. Click this link to more photos on Picassa. Please see these videos on You Tube of my boat. This is by far, most probably the best Fairline Corniche you will find. We have owned this boat for the last 12 years. Having cruised the coastal and inland waterways of the UK, we decided to move our boat to Spain 4 years ago. To say this was the best thing we have ever done is an understatement. Before I describe the boat in detail, I need to explain a little more about what you are buying into if you decide to leave the boat in Spain at the fantastic Sant Carles Marina Resort in the Catalunya region. If you ever thought you could not afford a boat in Spain, think again! Summertime temperatures 30 degrees; autumn 20 degrees; winter 10 degrees; spring 18 degrees. Beautiful blue skies, sandy beaches, traditional Spanish town, friendly people, good food and a safe and secure marina , 40 miles from Reus airport, 50 miles from Castellon airport and 100 miles from Barcelona or Valencia or do what we do and drive down in the summer. The marina is also an ideal location for cruising to the Balearics which we have done for the past 2 summers to Ibiza and Mallorca.Currently the boat is on a 10 metre rental berth which can be continued if required. We pay 510 euros a quarter(2040 euros a year) to a lovely lady in the town and this includes unlimited water, electricity, wifi, swimming pool, car parking, use of the members lounge, free pump outs (either on the berth or at the boatyard) and 1 free lift and wash per year. (Far cheaper than a UK marina) You also receive 10% discount on food purchased at the marina bar. The marina also has a forum run by berth holders where information is posted, items are advertised for sale and help or advice where required. Please see the links at the bottom for MDL Sant Carles Marina and the forum."Escape" Was built in 1989 and launched in 1990 in Hull. It went from there to the Shannon in Ireland, back over to Chichester and spent a few years in Ostend before I purchased it from Birdham Pool in 2004. I kept the boat on the waterways of Northern England until 2011 when I moved it to Spain. It has had little saltwater use until then.Fairline are one of the best boat builders in the uk, they pioneered the use of isothalmic resins, meaning their boats are very well made, strong and very rarely suffer with osmosis. Its is true when they say they don't make them like this anymore. This boat is in very good condition for its age, the Gelcoat is in better condition than a lot of the newer boats in the marina. I always leave it polished to protect it from the sun and the engines flushed with fresh water when leaving it between visits. The blue and grey deck stripes were replaced 5 years ago and I replaced the flybridge stripes this Easter so she is looking on top of her game. I take a lot of pleasure when people comment what a great looking and well maintained boat she is.Corniches came in various layouts and engine options; this boat has the preferred 200 hp Volvo Pentas on Traditional Shaft Drives with 4 blade equipoise propellers. (never buy a boat over 10 years old on outdrives unless you have deep pockets) The engines had 350 hours when I purchased and they are showing now 1500 hours . I have maintained the boat myself, changing the oil twice a year while in the uk (once before winter layup and again at the start of the season) on top of all the usual servicing requirements. At 3200 revs she will cruise all day at between 18 - 21 knots depending on load. At a more frugal 1500 revs she will make 8 knots. The bullet proof 6 cylinder Volvos sound like a sewing machine and when up on the flybridge she is very quite and smooth. This Tri-cab version is quite rare, it has the master cabin forward with an offset double Vee berth and a Double bunk cabin on the Starboard side. Both cabins have hanging wardrobes, cupboards, mirror, reading light etc. The main cabin also has ambient under pelmet LED lighting and a insect screen over the escape hatch. With beautiful Ash woodwork throughout the interior is very light and airy. The Main Saloon has an L -shaped sofa with under storage, LED under pelmet ambient lights, access to the engines, 2 x "puffy" stools, TV, Radio Cd Player, 2 x wine cabinets, and a side storage cupboard. Access to the cockpit is through double sliding doors. The Heads comprises of a washbasin with a mixer taps, mixer shower with fixed head, towel ring, toothbrush holder, port light and a high level cupboard. The Jabsco Sea toilet has an electric macerator pump and a Waste tank fitted under the lazarette complete with a deck pump out and also another macerator pump so the tank can be emptied while at sea.The Galley has more under unit LED lights, Microwave oven, Gas hob, 240 sockets, double sink and mixer tap, immersion heater switch. The lower Helm has full engine instrumentation, revs, temp, oil, tank etc, throttles, Garmin 220 Chartplotter, Autohelm 6000 autopilot, Navman 3200 Depth and SpeedThe Cockpit utilizes a very useful lazarette which we use as a store for the outboard, bbq, beach stools, tools, spares, etc. this is a surprisingly large space, it also hold the cold water storage tank, hot water tank and waste tank.Up a small ladder and onto the flybridge, Vinyl seating for 5 people and a double helm seat, all with blue and grey pin stripes to match the boat colours, rev counters, ignition, remote switch for the anchor winch, VHF radio. The radar arch is hinged so folds neatly to enable her to pass under low bridges, very useful for the French canalsFlybridge cover, 2 x windscreen covers, rear canopy, ropes, fenders, 2 x self inflating life jackets, 1500 watt anchor winch and 30 metres 8mm chain, Fuel tanks can be a problem on these boats, this boat had new tanks in 2004On the Transom there is a pair of Whitall davits with a load capacity of I believe 150kgs, the 2.8m aluminium floor rib is included in the sale. Bathing platform with ladder and fender baskets. We have enjoyed this boat for so long, but now we feel its time to move upto something slightly larger. I can write about this for hours but it would be best, if you are interested, call me and have a chat. If you are new to boating I would be more than willing to spend some time with you, teaching boat handling, maintenance, navigation etc. The boat will be antifouled and serviced ready for the season. We are keeping our new boat (when we find one) in the same marina so will be always be there for advice. This is nowhere near the cheapest Corniche on the Market and a boat is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay but I think my asking price reflects its condition. It may be negotiable to a degree to the right buyer. Thanks for reading and feel free to contact me anytime.. Iain 07971275214I have this boat advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to remove from sale if sold.I am quite happy to sort any paper work with a registered yacht broker of required. The VAT is Paid! I have ownership documents, bills of sale etc.
