For sale is our Dutch steel cruiser, Karina - she can give you the opportunity to live afloat in France and beyond!
A superb life awaits with beautiful scenery, at a slow pace, meeting new people along the way or just enjoying your own company.
She is a Cascaruda 1200 AK, 12m long, 3.8m wide with a draft of 1.2m and an air draft of 3.1m with the canopy, 2.7m with the canopy taken off and with the option to lower the glass you can gain another 300mm.
This means that she will pass just about everywhere in France.
She is currently moored in the Centre region of France on the Canal lateral a la Loire.
The nitty gritty -
She was built in 1984.
One engine which is a Ford Lehman 2715E 6 cylinder 125.
Two new batteries for the engine, two x 12V batteries for the 24V system and one 12V battery for the 12V system.
230V when connected to mains electricity.
Also two 12V batteries for the bow thruster.
External steering under canopy.
400litre tank for fuel and 900litre tank for water.
Large open living area, very light and airy.
Rear cabin with double bed, various storage cupboards and access to the wash room which has an electric toilet, hand wash basin and mirror fronted cabinet.
Forward V cabin which sleep two.
In the main living area is a settee that converts to a small double bed.
Galley area with table and seating for 3/4, four ring gas hob, microwave, 10litre electric water heater and fridge.
There is a second fridge in the living area.
Webasto blown air heating that runs off the fuel and also runs the radiator in the wash room.
Anti-fouling was done in 2011.
Small rowing boat included.
She needs some internal work to make her super duper, the cupboards could do with being moved around and improved and a seating area created, there is room to install a shower in the rear cabin and with a few more small jobs she will be perfect.
We have set a date at the end of June to take her out of the water and we can still do this, but if she sells in the meantime that's OK with us.
The price for this lovely boat has been considerably reduced since the previous listing as we have other projects underway and don't really have the time to use her.
