Selling my 23 1997 Wellcraft Excel Coastal Walkaround. I've owned the boat for 15 years and have moved up so it needs to go. It's a great boat and is in turnkey condition. The bottom was just painted and the hull has been waxed. It's powered by an 1997 2000 OceanPro. This is the carbureted version that has a proven track record for reliability, NOT to be confused with the FICHT engines that were a failure. It has been a great engine, but in being proactive, I had the engine freshened up about six years ago and put about thirty to forty hours per season. If I had to guess there's about 300 hours (there is no hour meter) on the engine. Everything was replaced at the time of the rebuild (charging system, ignition, lower unit and carbs rebuilt). Overall the boat is in good condition. No major cracks in the fiberglass, just superficial chips here and there from normal use. Other details on the boat...
• Holds eight gallons of fresh water.
• Cooler to Port behind the seat.
• Bait well to starboard.
• Two fish wells in the floor.
• Raw water wash down
• Self contained porta-pottie
• Garmin 172C GPS with Long Island Sound chart
• Lowrance X515C Depth SounderThere's also a bimini top included in the sale. I take it off during the winter, I've attached some shots of it from my basement. It also comes with a LoadRite trailer. The trailer is decent but will need some work. I used it to pull the boat from my house to the launch and back, twice a year. The brakes have been removed as they kept sticking due to lack of use. The bearings/tires and overall frame are in good condition. In summary. If you're looking to get into boating with something that won't break the bank, this shouldn't be overlooked.
***SECOND UPDATE*** I did find the title but the sticker containing the VIN is gone. LoadRite will reissue the VIN if needed since the title is present.
