Midsummer is in excellent condition, very well equipped and regularly updated. Ideally suited to a new Day Skipper or the well experienced, she is very sea kindly and easy to sail, having roller reefing on both main and foresail. Her shallow draught with the centreboard up allows her to enter places like Christchurch Harbour and with the centreboard down she sails well to windward. Midsummer is moored on a sheltered deep water swinging mooring in a creek in Langstone harbour with access at all states of the tide. The dinghy is stored at the harbour slipway and there is overnight parking close by. One partner lives very nearby and keeps an eye on the boat. The boat is also visible from the Harbour Master’s office. Local cruising and longer voyages are possible, giving each of the partners the chance to explore new cruising grounds. Partners recently shared a 4 week cruise to Cornwall, changing guests and crew en-route. Partners are very open to further distant sailing including a taste of blue waters and with the possibility of keeping Midsummer II in different areas for periods of time. Partners join in equally with the annual winter maintenance or fund in lieu. Some skill in carpentry, or engine maintenance or electrics would be useful but not essential. Existing partners try to do as much as possible themselves both to keep the costs down and to gain and maintain familiarity with the boat. Partners regularly sail together .OTHERPartnership agreement includes car parking at a Partner's driveway, normally available and ~ 10 mins walk away.
